What are early warning signs of ovarian cancer?

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer deaths in women. Unfortunately, majority of the cases of ovarian cancer are discovered when the disease is advanced. Treatment is more effective when ovarian cancer is detected early.

What are the early warning signs of ovarian cancer?

Abdominal pain/pelvic pressure

Feeling full after a small meal

Increase in waist size. Do clothes feel smaller?

Bloating/indigestion/nausea/vomiting

Loss of appetite

Frequent urination

Constipation/diarrhea or prolonged change in bowel habits

Fatigue

Vaginal bleeding outside of usual pattern

Unexplained and unintentional weight loss or weight gain

Pain with intercourse
